Mount tires to rim by hand only! Machine mounting will damage the tire and will not be warranted!

The A008 is Yokohama's performance tire developed for the drivers of classic Austin 7, Mini 850 and Mini Cooper cars. The A008 uses Yokohama's latest technology to provide enhanced performance in dry conditions. The A008 features a high performance tread compound molded into an asymmetric design that includes a continuous shoulder rib to enhance responsiveness and dry road traction. Circumferential grooves and independent tread blocks on the inner portion of the tire focus on hydroplaning resistance and wet traction. Internally, A008 tires feature a polyester cord body and twin steel belts reinforce by a layer of nylon to help deliver exceptional dry traction and predictable handling.

The Mini at 50: why we'll never tire of these wheels

The Mini was invented in 1959. And thank heavens for that, for without it the Sixties would surely not have been possible. How would Twiggy have got around? And never mind who your favourite Beatle was: which was your favourite Beatle's Mini? Paul's green 1965 Cooper S? John's GT? Or George's psychedelic Mini? Or Ringo's high-spec Radford Mini?

What Tire Fits a Classic Mini?
Created: December 12, 2013
This is definitely a topic that keeps coming up! What wheel and tire combinations can be made to fit a Classic Mini? Just a few days ago, had a customer call for “175/55-10” as though they could just be picked off the rack! Hmmm, I’ve never seen such a size, except maybe on a Yamaha Banshee Quad for doing burnouts! I thought it would be a good time to update what combinations are currently available, and a little bit about fitting them to most Minis. It’s been pointed out by me and others, that all the common combinations end up having about the same overall rolling diameter.
