I'll take that as, there are no other locations as the world didn't need secrets in 1962.

This does not pertain to the subject of this thread but I feel the correct people will read it.  I know the VIN number is located on the radiator cowling of a '62 Woody.  Are there any other VIN locations on this car?

What do you all think about the one piece rear door on an estate LWB mini ??
Doug at Mini City in Rochester N Y has one- Fiber glass , one piece large window, hinges on the right side-

Posting for a good friend-

Got to work on the traveller some today, removed the glass, except for the drivers side door(took off the chrome latches though), front windscreen, rear door windows, headliner(only 2 small tears),UGLY Dash, heater out,rear door lock,sun visors,rear view mirror. Removed all the seats, and ripped off the courduroy covers someone had on the rear seat, and below it was a very nice original red seat. Too bad the front seats weren't in that good of shape. Put all the door cards etc. in a rubbermade tub, and sealed it up. Looks like some big work will have to be done where the rear subby bolts into the car. It won't be a pic-nic, but we will get it done! I do think the original color was some sort of green, it was behind the rubber for the windscreen, the rear view mirror, and also under the rear door rubber. Not a British racing green but a bit different.  Stay tuned, film at Eleven!

Hi guys , in regards to the alteration of the car cover I can't say that we did a really good job on it , but, we only altered the front , we started at the white roof line  then went to the grey screen , took out the mirror pockets , then tried to fit it to the profile of the front guards . I think that perhaps that sloping it from the roof to the headlights would be a better option . By the way you do not have to alter the back of the cover at all and it will even cover the wheels . we have not got around to finishing it but for me it works really well and I am in no hurry to do the last 5% . My wife was using the car today , No2 daughter took off with the keys to the spare car ,she is in training to attend the world cheerleading championships in Florida next month , so the cover is not on at the moment so no pics but next time it is on ,probably this weekend . Who else has one of these covers? I have not heard of any one else that has one.

I like the site, and was ready to register, but had a question, so I am waiting on that reply. I would like to see some DETAILED interior pics, the "load area" the rear doors, the sliding glass and the locks for them,the way the wood holds in the glass..... pictures of a stock or even concours woody would be great. Are there any books out there dealing just with these models? I know I asked before, but what shop manuals do you have???? Drivers handbooks??  Thanks, Ron J.

Al - You wouldn't by chance want to sell just the handle and latch mechanisms off those doors would you? I know the chance is slim... but I gotta ask. 

I have good doors already... just need the bits to keep 'em closed.
