That's a really good shout and I have read of grounding out. One suggestion has been the (metal) Temperature Sensor clip was found to be grounding out against the engine block, i've replaced this with a plastic one - same problem. If it means checking all the electrics I'll have to get someone to look at it.

It 'sounds like' the ecu is still receiving erroneous temp readings causing the fan to run in a fail-safe mode.
Could there be a connection or grounding issue somewhere?

My Mini 2010 R56 constantly has the Radiator Fan on, even on startup.
I have a P0599 fault code which states 'Thermostat Heater Control Circuit High'
I've read a few forums which advised to replace the Temperature Sensor and reset the ECU. I've done both of these things and all has been fine for a while.
However - the code is back and the Radiator Fan is always running again. I have a feeling only the ECU reset really worked so it's temporary.
Does anyone have any experience of the Radiator always being on? I thought Radiator NOT coming on was a Thermostat stuck fault, but this is the opposite.
Also does anyone have the ECU reset process as I can't recall this or repeat what i thought was the process.
