Went out for a nice ride today with the dog, and I'll be darned if I didn't experience this very problem. The turn signals did nothing, the 4-ways worked fine. About half way thru the turn signals started working again. I will be checking that fuse box connection first thing tomorrow.
IF IT WEREN'T FOR PHYSICS AND LAW ENFORCEMENT, I'D BE UNSTOPPABLE

I'm glad you asked. My mini is a daily driver. A 1994 SPI. The problem has not change from the beginning. The culprit is the main fuse box(the four 35 Amp glass fuses) and it's connectors. Cut right to the chase - the 2nd fuse from the top. The 2 brown wires on one side and the green & orange on the other are the problem children..
This is what I did. I disconnected all the wires from the FB. Of course I labeled each wire L& R Top to Bottom.
The FB spades and fuse holders are only pop revised together. Corrosion takes place in between. I discovered a product like Naval Jelly or any other rust desolver will work.
Do the same for the female spade connector. Rinse with water and dry.
I soldered the layers of the fuse box and the pop refit together.
Squirt liberal dose of dielectric grease into the female spade and push onto the male.
Your problems of intermittent blinkers will disappear. I guarantee it. I'm making that bold statement.

Has this happened to anyone; the flashers work but the blinkers don't?
