I did pay for the service, seemed a fair price, and it is a performance application, that I would not like to revisit in my remaining years.

If you have the money to spend on doing it, and it's going to be an engine that you want to be around a while and driven in a spirited manner, I'd say do it. I would, given those circumstances. But I'll be interested to see what other opinions are on the matter.

Would you pay to have a camshaft Nitride treated by the manufacturer? The cost is a $150.00 up charge, the application is a ford solid lifter engine much like a mini.
