Success!!  I wish I could have helped, but I haven't driven to Arizona in a dozen years.  Glad you finally got your hood.

Guess what?  After about 3 years I finally have my 911 front hood!  Thanks Al for keeping it safe in your barn until I could have it picked up and put in a Morris Minor on its way to me from Texas!

Just what I hoped ... that one of those transport guys that criss-cross the country could pick it up passing thru Tucson. Brought it right to Mini Mania in Morris Minor Traveler that wants a bigger engine!  I'll take care of that too!

I'll just bring this back up to ask if anyone knows of any of the car-transport guys that crisscross the country that might be willing to pick up a hood and deliver to Norcal area where I would be happy to meet them?

It's a front-trunk lid for a Porsche 911 about 50 inches square... just too easily damaged for normal shipping.

Any other ideas?

... That could Pick up an item for me in exchange for some gas money? (or something from my collection of Classic Mini or Midget parts). I have what would usually be called a hood, but as it's for my 911 Porsche, it's a "Frunk" lid (front trunk) that I bought on Pelican. It's a clumsy item to ship, and easily damaged, so it's in a (Mini) friend's barn near Tuscon and needs to come to Mini Mania (near my house!). I'll be happy to meet you at a major highway around Sac, or easily leave with a friend in the SF Bay Area. It's about 48" wide, 50" long and only 4" deep so would stand up in a narrow space in a van or trailer, or lay flat in a truck or SUV. Email [email protected] or respond right here!
