And the one type of bullet mirror you cannot see anything out of once you get it mounted.

There are a bunch of different bullet mirrors out there. We have no idea which ones you bought. Post some photos and we might be able to help you.

Some days, the Mini just makes me feel stupid. Today is one of those days.
The driver's side mirror fell off. It was old, the mounting bits were brittle, I hit a bump, and that's all she wrote. Most of the bits (and mirror) are long gone.
So, I'd ordered a set of bullets (it didn't have bullets before). They look great, but for the life of me, I can't get them mounted. It seems that the old mirror was mounted with screws that went through the outside of the door. The bullets appear to be built so that the screws go though the door from the inside, and there doesn't appear to be a way to do that -- the door shell doesn't seem to have a way, unless the glass is removed. Even then, it seems like a pretty difficult reach through the inside of the door.
Am I misunderstanding these mirror mounts (very possible)? Does anybody have any tips or experience with mounting bullets?
Thanks, folks!
