thanks. I got this figured out now. I need to flip the body over and check the condition of the bulkhead/ firewall panel. Then I can proceed on ordering parts if needed.

YES there is a ~1 Inch Stand down from the front corner of the toe board / floorboard ... that extends down to mount the subframe.
The bolt actually drops thru the BIG hole in the floor board to bolt the subframe into ( gromet covers the hole normally)
I Only have the ONE bolt in mine . But i do remember welding those on when i Replaced floors.
I also dont see them listed both M-parts and Moke panels. ( i wonder if they COME with ) Floor board repair panels just automatically or TOE boards. I got all my Replacement metal from M parts so i know they had them.

I've started working on my rusted out floor moke. It's a 67 English model. I assumed that the two bolts at the rear of the front subframe would bolt through the front floors on each side with 2 bolts. This moke was very rusted in that area and I only found one bolt per side until I looked under the moke. It appears that the rearward bolt is captive and there's a stiffener section of metal, like the bump out that sits under the steering rack.
Can anyone post some pix of their moke so I can figure this out? I need a shot of the two bolts on either side, and if possible, under the car front floor where the subframe mounts to the floor. I've been on M Parts and can not find a stiffener panel listed. I might add a plate to my new floor to stiffen it, but would like to find the original part if it exists.
