Also the battery weight in the rear is to balance the vehicle a bit more. A m/c battery won't add much to the front but you're losing the rear weight.

As long as you don't have a lot of electrical add on's they work fine.
If in doubt, flat out. Colin Mc Rae MBE 1968-2007.

An engine does not need a heavy battery to run on - just to start it. Once running, The alternator would provide power according to the demand on it - very little from the ignition system, more from lights etc.

I used the engine/trans side mount on my Vtec frame and made a little battery tray out of some angle and welded it up. It mounts directly where the motor mount is. Battery Cables are only like 8" long.

Man i miss it.I go through phases where my motivation is down and i dont necessarily lose interest,i just lose motivation to actually sit there and work on things.
Ive swapped the battery from the trunk and pulled the long cable out and made a small mount/bracket that mounts a motorcyle battery under the hood. The batter cables are short and simple now. I plan to remove the rear battery box location to free up space under the rear floor for another idea i have in mind in the future.Maybe they sell a trunk floor panel without the battery box? Id want it metal, not fiberglass or carbon. I may attempt to stick a radiator under there since my car effortlessly always ran cool, and id love to not have it crammed under the front.Just an idea, not sure if ill commit to that one...
