Or you could just get creative. I bought standard dash, put ac controls in left glove box with a flush panel, and re-piped the center vents to the outer fresh air vents. Then no special dash, and I think it looks way cleaner in the end. Just my .02.

AFAIK the Jap spec ac dash is JS specific as the glovebox is smaller than the UK ones due to the ac vents and controls they are not readily available.
The later ac set systems i have been told use the wiring harness and ecu to run the system and a different ecu so unless someone was installing it in a JS Mini they would need all those parts to make it work.
I bought one several years ago but it was off an earlier carbed JS Mini which were a factory add on and had a stand alone harness i paid $750 for it.

Easy to get a new dash. I think you can grab one for about $300? If not here I have seen them on another well known Mini supplier. I could include this one but it's absolutely pants. The veneer was shot so it's wrapped in the vinyl off my old BBQ cover :) You don't need the dash though. I got some hose and re-routed the cold air to the eyeball vents. I'll include the ducting for the old method as well, and MAYBE the dash, but.. Thanks for the idea. And thanks for price ideas. If/when I pull I'll photograph and let you know.

Over the years I have bought one Kit paid $650 without the dash. I resold it for the same price. I have also
removed a couple of complete kits with dash and vents and sold them for $700 and $750. This was several
years ago and it's hotter now. I even parked my classic and drive a AC ed Dodge mid size P/U now. I have
several customers who have AC added to there minis. Steve (CTR)

Not directly interstesed in buying but what about the dash?

when i see Removed AC kits for sale . the Hardware is fine to get ( compressor + Lines and evap  and condensor  pulleys etc) But when you need to distribute the air + fan in the car,   the dash has those vents and demister included...

Including an AC Dash would be the Cats Meow for having a plug and play Kit...

1997 JDM. 134a type unit. Car has side radiator. Probably pull out when car comes off the road in November. I'll have it evacuated at a shop first, and try to keep the receiver etc as dry as possible, but I do live at the coast...

Well of course.

Yes I'm looking at removing the whole thing. naturally I wouldn't keep any of it. Pullies are available but I'd probably change to V-groove so I'd include them. Everything but the R-134a, unless I can find a bunch of baggies to include it in. I think it's worth more than "fiddy". Otherwise I'll just scrap it.

Cheers.

If you don't include all the parts, pulleys, brackets & nuts bolts, etc. it's not worth much. It should be a plug and play kit.

Is this from a non-Japanese market injected Mini with front mount radiator? If so, I'm definitely interested.

Considering pulling the a/c out of my 97 Mini. I have used it twice thos year (blows cold) but I don't really need it, and Thinking someone else may.

What is a fair value for the hardware, wiring and assorted bits. I'll even throw in a belt or two...maybe pullies as well. I know they were huge bucks a while back, but times change...
