OK.
The wipers work!

I just replaced the wiper bushes and the motor still works!

now for the install !!

First I assembled all the parts - motor, wheelboxes, cable tubing - so that all seemed to fit.
next I properly seated the wheelboxes.  I had to move the washer hose and wiring harness out of the way to accomplish this.  I had difficulty aligning the motor in its grommet holes so I had to loosen the nut holding the cable tubing to the motor.  Still tight but I was finally able to secure the washers and nuts inside the car.

The tight space makes a seemingly easy task time consuming!

The wipers still work!

I would like to bench test my wiper motor before bolting it in place.
I have a small 12v battery on my bench.

is it as simple as connecting the battery positive post to position #2 and the negative post to position #1?

I know the final wiring is
#1 = black
#2 = black/green
