burnt valve? or bad valve seat?

other possible causes for low compression in one cylinder:

worn rings
head gasket
scored cylinder wall

My first guess would be a stuck or worn exhaust valve. I expect that would result in error codes telling you something was not right with the exhaust emissions.

Hello every one! Thank you for having me here! Question, I am new with Mini and would like to check myself if the answer is right. 2010 Mini Cooper S, very little compression in cylinder 4 but no leak of oil and antifreeze, no overheating or white smoke, oil clean and spark is on. Any suggestions? Thank you in advanced.
