BC, is the Inno you are working on a Mk3 Cooper ( 5 clock dash ) or a 13 Export ( 6 clock dash ) one. I have a Mk 3 Inno Cooper without a title. It has been stripped to bare shell and all parts are with it except disc brakes, sub frames, power unit and vent window doors. With dad selling the home place I'm in storage trouble. Will be sending two maybe three cars to the crusher today. A 62 AH Sprite ( sq. body side curtain post bug eye and a 79 MG Midget. I'd like to sell the Inno. Steve (CTR)

Grille is wrong, Seats are inverted drivers and passengers seat need to be swapped over. The handle should be on the outside. The boot lid is wrong .
Doors panels look homemade and not all innos had vent windows...

Some of the stuff you wouldn't bother swapping from a good donor.

The dash/electrics are the most difficult to swap (don't ask how I know) so, as you say, probably started as an Inno but I doubt the 1976 as the year of birth - and yes I am well aware of the Vinny shuffle - I just wish people wouldn't lie when they sell these cars we suffer enough of that with "genuine" 1976 Mk1 Cooper S's still being offered to the unknowing.

Lots of Inno (1300 Export) bits there, including the dash which is correct but the rest, doors etc could have come from just about anywhere - and probably did. Engine is nice but also incorrect (single carb), the list goes on.

He had this on eBay a while back and I corresponded with him on the car - until I advised that it was not a real Innocenti at which point he vanished off the face of the earth.

Nice Mini but not (ever) a genuine Inno.

I've not been able to find a pic of an Inno 1300 of this vintage without vent windows....perhaps swapped from a UK MINI

Seems to be probably a collection of Inno and UK bits......but mostly Inno.

Even the ashtray is Inno.  I think it should be column mount ignition though for a 75/76.
Wing indicator location is Inno

Boot lid may be wrong as it isn't the Italian type.
I think it's an Inno body though.  It has the inboard hood hinges unlike UK MkIII MINI bodies

Engine bay looks mostly right except missing the rad aux. tank from the fierwall

"WET COOPER", Partsguy1 (Terry Snell of Penticton BC ) - Could you send the money for the unpaid parts and court fees.
Ordered so by a Judge

Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think all Innos had vent windows. Charlie if you want a huge project I have a 73 Inno Cooper project needing lots of love and is already stripped to a bare shell. Steve (CTR)

Interesting. It isn't a Innocenti Mini Cooper 1300, which is how Innocenti badged it's late Coopers.  Classic Minis were not produced by Innocenti after 1975, but a '76 car could just be when first registered.  But the doors are wrong - no vent windows, and has the later Rover door bins, not the Innocenti full length bins. Does not have the black plastic grill of the Mini Cooper 1300 model. Headlight surrounds are correct.  The engine bay has a correct brake booster and the fuse box is correct.  The six-instrument dash is correct for a late Innocenti Mini Cooper 1300, but the steering wheel is not.

I am not sure if Innocenti built anything except the Mini Cooper 1300 model in the last couple of years of production. Anybody know?

My best guess is this is a standard Mini outfitted from a wrecked or dismantled Innocenti Mini Cooper 1300.  That fuse box, brake booster, headlight surrounds, and dash are correct, but the doors especially don't match.

YMMV! (for what it's worth, I have a '73 Innocenti Mini Cooper 1300)

I don't think the dashboard is original Innocenti, but it would nice to have close-up pictures.
