Hi Darren,

Hi iain1967s. I’m glad to meet you. You have 67 S...that must be a real joy. My mini came home tonight.
I cant remember where that saying ( your post ) comes from, but it is familiar. Hi Mike. Mini’s home here on
PEI . I’ll shoot some pics tomorrow. Cheers all. Braden, car got here fine. Gotta spend some quality time
with Lupin ( my loyal cat ) as I left her alone for longer than I like to today. She wanted out today for the
first time since the snow hit. Sign of an early spring ? Dan, I’ll send you some pics tomput up tomorrow.
she looks good. A bit dusty from the trip of course, but solid like a church.
      Later all
         D.

He's probably sitting in the garage in his Mini with a big smile on his face and Lupin is meowing in the kitchen waiting to be fed.

Haha. Reminded me of the old public service announcer on TV...

Darren, I see you're having email troubles. Send me an email titled "testing" with only one sentence in the body. My email address is in my profile. We want to have it working when you're ready to send pictures!

Ah...that’s excellent. Thank you very much Dan. Computing is fun, but of course it can be a bit frustrating when things don’t work as planned, but every time I do something I usually learn. This is anouther small
victory...we should take them when we can.
    Thanks,
Lupin ( Derwood is using the can...I’ll show him this when he gets out ! )
     Cheers Dan !

Thanks very much Dan !
lets see if i’ve done this correct ?

should have a space now if i’ve done this right. When I think back, I know I changed some settings while trying to get both my photos up, and also to get “Quote” to work. It looks like you’ve fixed this for me Dan.
Thank you kind sir ! .

Hi again Derwood,
I have changed my editor type back to "Styled". [single return]
A single return gives me a new line. [double return]
A double return gives me this paragraph spacing.

With "Styled" you also get an editing toolbar. see the attached image.

Derwood: When you open the post editor, look at the top for a bar that says "Change editor Type" You are probably using the "Text formatting" option. The note above the editing window says: "(Single returns are replaced with a space. Two returns are displayed as two returns.)". [single return] I am writing this in "Text" formatting. [double return] After a double return it will give you this paragraph spacing - text on a new line.

The attached image shows the "Text" message editor. Note the absence of the toolbar.

Hi Al !! Thanks for the kind words my friend:-) Saga is the right term, for sure ! That’s a pretty nice compliment you gave me pal, and I sure do appreciate it. She has been a longer road than I expected, but you know...these cars make us a bit crazy....but it’s a good crazy.... Old Sir Alec sure got off to a good start when he sketched on that tablecloth ! Car of the century by most car journalists opinions... I think those journalists are right, too !! I’d do it all over again if I had too, but right now I’ll settle for seeing the car and sitting in it ! Cheers Al...great Pal ! Darren PS- I got word off to Peter ( beakr ). I hope it helps him and I hope his move goes well ......And thank God for coffee, friends, and Minis. ( ladies too, but that goes without saying ) Send me a few more bikini shots if you get a chance ! D.

Derwood:

Glad to hear this saga is almost over

Note to self:

After living and dieing with this thread, remind myself not to ever sell to you, buy from you or transport for you-

And of course, give to you &/or take advice from you regarding anything mini related

And for the mini shop in Lethbridge AB and the Uhaul shipper , been there, done that and got the scars to prove it, just hang in there, better days ahead

Good morning all. Well friends, after being up too late last night studying Mini pics, especially mine but others too, my good buddy Lupin woke me up early...too early, on the hunt for breakfast. Low sodium tuna this morning. Debbie, Dan and Veggivet have warned me about the hazards of a fat cat as well as of the hazards of giving her ( a female cat for those who don’t know ) too much “people” tuna. People tuna generally has too much sodium for cats, but thanks to Debbie I know that the only tuna that I should give her is “no name “ brand , in the familiar yellow label. So that’s what she got ( tuna is her favourite food by a country mile ).————————————————————————————————————————— Without too much ramble, I’m pumping the coffee into me and waking myself up. Today is hopefully ( and likely ) the day my Mini arrives. Beakr, this post is primarily for you. To address your comment of still being interested in how my Mini transport goes, as well as how well Braden impresses me. You can decide about Canadian Relocation Specialists yourself I think. Read over some of my last few posts and you should be able to decide for yourself, I think. There have been delays, but James has been working hard these last few days for me. The transmission breakdown has forced him to travel from Saskatoon to Montreal to pick up my car and meet his arrival estimate. It looks like he will only be one day late. Says something pretty positive. But I never received a GPS tracking link. So you’ll have to judge the performance from all of this. That’s honestly the best I can offer right now.———————————- — — Beakr, I ask you to read my last post...just prior to this one and about one inch from the top I mention all the work that Braden’s initial Kijiji add claimed to have been completed on the Mini. Very impressive imh opinion. Quite an extensive going over of the Mini by any standard, again imho. Well studying my group of Mini pics that Braden sent to me back last December, when I became interested in the Mini, I noticed something. I have two close ups of the two front hub assemblies , with the tires ( which still have the red dots on them ) removed. There is absolutely NO doubt that the rotors are brand new. Not re-turned on a lathe, but brand new. Proper tiny criss-crosses that you see when you look closely at brand new rotors. That told me something important about Braden’s add, and about Braden. He HAD replaced the rotors and the tires as the add said. Then there is the white lettering on the new-looking ignition wires. Not a speck of dirt on the white letters. Brand new, quality wires. Then I notice the brake fluid reservoir. The large, rectangular ones. I can’t see anything inside. And the reservoir is very clean on the outside. So it indicates that that fluid WAS changed, just as the add stated. Why would the cap be on the reservoir if it was empty ? Well too me the reservoir is either full of completely clean ( new ) fluid, or it’s completely empty...which would indicate that it has been drained, capped, and ready for fresh fluid. That second option seems highly unlikely too me. The first option is the one that makes sense to me. That brake fluid HAS been flushed. Like the add said.—————————————————— ————so I’m wrapping this post up now. I hope this helps you in some way beakr, and I hope your Mini transport goes without a problem. If I remember correctly, you bought the V-tech Mini in Montreal ? ? Your wife and you flew down east to look at it ? ? That’s what is coming back to me....coffee is starting to work... :-). I’d like to make sure beakr gets to read this post gang. I think I may have his email address, but I’m not sure...I’m going to look for that address, but if anyone reads this that does have beakr’s email address, would you please either forward this post to him or ask him to read it please. I think he will be interested in reading this. Thanks friends. Salut mes francaphone ami. Big day ahead.—————— ————- Coopertune, I hope we are good....——————————————————————————————- —————- Later all, keep your stick on the ice...for you Dan ;-) Red Green.——————————————- ———————Darren ( and Lupin )
