Survey Results: Best Beatles Song
Question:
Never voted, but my most memorable Beatle song as a teenager was "Love me do" which is really the song that made the Beatles popular in Australia. Cheers
Answer:
Thanks for the reply! There are TONS of good songs for sure!
Question:
Yesterday and Hey Jude are nice enough McCartney sing-alongs, but Day in the life set new standards of popular song-writing and production values using all the talents of John, Paul, George, Ringo, and not forgetting George M, which changed what went onto 'pop' albums for years to come.
Answer:
Hey Richard, thanks for the reply. We agree!
Question:
The wife just finished listening to "The Fab Four At Four" on a local radio station that plays four Beatles songs every day at 4:00 pm. I showed her the survey results and she agreed with "The entire catalog". She saw the Beatles play Red Rocks outside Denver on August 26, 1964. I was 2,000 miles away enjoying surf music in Pennsylvania - saw Brian Wilson's last tour performance. As time went on I went Stones (we saw them together) and she stayed Beatles. August 26 seems familiar, like something else happened that day. Oh yeah, that's the day we got married in 1972. But what else . . .? Good survey!
Answer:
OMG. That's quite a list of list of accomplishments! But no Woodstock? Glad you liked the survey.
Question:
Not "Baby you can ride my car"????
Answer:
I know that's a great one.
Question:
Too many great songs to pick from. Surprised other honorable mentions did not include Eleanor Rigby, If I Fell, A Hard Days Night, Help, etc., etc., etc..
Answer:
Yes, the Beatles had so much, it's hard to pick top 50 much less the top 10.
